At an early age, Donald Brooks grew up learning how to fix appliances. His father and brother were both master electricians, which heavily contributed to his knowledge of electric services. Donald started his career in 1977 working for corporations that helped residential customers and commercial venues with their appliance repair needs. Donald kept experiencing how overpriced the appliance repair industry is and that there is no emphasis on the quality of service provided. It became his dream to build a company of his own in order to answer those unfair practices.

In 2018, Donald Brooks founded Brooks Appliance Repair on the principle of setting out to provide what customers deserve — quality work at fair prices. He began as the sole technician, doing much of the supporting roles like dispatching, parts acquisition and general business administrative work with his wife, Holly. With 40+ years of industry experience, he brought his expertise in appliance repairs to Stafford, Fredericksburg and Woodbridge. Brooks Appliance Repair gained such momentum that it has since grown, adding three more highly knowledgeable technicians to its fleet and expanding its service area to include much of the Northern Virginia and Spotsylvania county.

Keeping it within the family, Donald welcomed his son, Master Electrician Donald Brooks Jr. to spearhead an electrical service branch in 2021. The same year, his daughter Kristin Ball assumed the company-wide role of office manager and accountant.  Renamed Brooks Appliance Repair & Electric, the company now has over 11 employees working to deliver the best in appliance repair and electrical services. The BAE team strives to deliver quality work at reasonable pricing with an emphasis on customer service
